If you tend to grow tired of icons too quickly, here's a package that can help you satisfy your demand for new icons.
Colorflow is a stylish icon collection based on the Mac OS X Leopard that you can now use on your Windows PC. The pack includes 60 ICO files with different designs that can be adapted to diverse system folders and tools: photos, videos, bookmarks, email client, CD burner and more. Some of them though refer to Mac-only features, such as Finder, Spotlight or Dashboard widgets, and are hardly usable on a PC.
Remember that to change a file's icon, you need to right click on that file and select Properties. Once in that menu, click the Customize tab and you'll be able to set a new icon for that file. Other icons however will require you to use a special program, like IconPhile.
The best thing about Colorflow is that the ZIP file that contains the collection also includes a link to the template used to create all of them, which means that if you know how to use Photohop, you can create your own icons and expandyou’re your personal Colorflow collection further.
Colorflow helps you give a new look to your old system icons and also provides you with the icon template to create your own.
